The dark mass of the headland towers above them, while moonlight picks out the uneven stone and glimmers across the water. A large crab introduces an unexpected, unsettling presence into the otherwise quiet gathering. The contrast between luminous bodies and shadowed landscape gives the scene the atmosphere of a mysterious coastal legend, bringing close observation of nature into an imaginative, dreamlike setting.
